Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAM software based on technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications.
- Select suitable cutting tools, speeds, and feed rates for each machining operation.
- Design machining process flows and structured plans for manufacturing parts using CNC machines.
- Determine appropriate clamping methods and design CNC fixtures to ensure secure and stable workpiece fixation.
- Set up CNC machines for production runs, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and configuring machine settings.
- Conduct test runs to verify program accuracy and machine performance.
- Operate CNC machines during production, monitor operations, and troubleshoot issues to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect machined parts to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and compliance with quality standards.
- Adjust programs and machine settings to correct deviations or defects.
- Maintain accurate records of CNC programs and tool lists in CMS or shared folders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
- Provide cost estimates, technical assessments, and propose optimal machining operations aligned with customer requirements.
- Ensure quotations are competitive, realistic, and reflect the facility’s manufacturing capabilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification or formal training in CNC programming and machining operations is an advantage.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer, with a focus on VMC 3 axis, VMC 3+1 axis and HMC 3+1 axis.
- Familiarity with machine control systems (Fanuc, Mitsubishi and Mazatrol controller).
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Space Claim, Esprit Cam, Mastercam)
- Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) for designing CNC clamping fixtures and programming CNC machines.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- In-depth knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Ability to operate Vertical Machine Centre 3 axis, Vertical Machine Centre 3+1 axis, Horizontal Machine Centre 3+1 axis. Experience in handling Mazak HMC 3+1 axis is highly advantageous.
- Preferably Mandarin Literate candidates.
