About the role
Aimflex Systems Sdn Bhd, a leading engineering company, is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Senai, Johor. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and components that drive the success of our cutting-edge projects.
What you’ll be doing
- To design & develop machines/testers/jigs & fixtures design by applying mechanical engineering principles to meet design specifications and cost target.
- To participate in external meetings, to define feasible project scope and specifications to address customers’ problem statements.
- To proactively participate in project development cycle, to collaborate with other functions, supplier and/or customer to drive project delivery in-time and successfully.
- To provide technical guidance and support to production team to minimize the gap of process deviation and to improve efficiency based on mechanical engineering good practices.
- To prepare new or update revised manufacturing documents, fabrication drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials) promptly when required.
- Always seek for idea and opportunity to improve production efficiency and product quality by applying DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) principles.
- To Conduct FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and risk assessments for mechanical design, assembly process or related issues at early stage of design phase.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proficient in the use of CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, for 3D modelling and design
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, design methodologies, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines
- Functional knowledge in pneumatic, motion control and measurement system are a plus.
- Experienced in FMEA for analysis and technical risk assessment is plus.
- Willing to work onsite and overseas when required.
