Job Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
- Provide leadership in Strategic and financial planning including cash flow forecasting and projection in alignment with its goals and growth plan, budget management and business analysis
- Provide advice to GMD and board on financial implications of business activities.
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to enhance competitiveness and shareholder value.
2. Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Oversees Financial management practices including review of management accounts, financing, audit, tax matter, treasury management and compliance with laws and regulatory authorities such as Bank Negara Malaysia, IRB, Bursa Malaysia.
- Responsible for Compliance with all statutory requirements, adherence to the accounting standards and effective Corporate Governance through formulating and review financial and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls, transparency and accountability.
- Responsible for financial and compliance related matter reporting to higher management and the Board of Directors. Ensure timely Bursa reporting and submission of annual report and preparation of board paper and attend Board Meeting.
3. Capital and Risk Management
- Ensure that the financial health of the organization is well maintained and is balanced at all times without any financial constraints that may affect the sustainability of work and business.
- Lead the Enterprise Risk Management to manage financial and operational risk of the Group of companies by implementing policies and controls to mitigate them.
4. Operational and Financial Performance
- Drive cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability across the organization by setting financial performance metrics.
- Collaborate with department heads to establish budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure that resources align with strategic objectives.
5. Investor Relations
- Ensure Investor Relationship and Public relations activities with the financial institutions, external consultants, clients and statutory bodies are well maintained at all times.
- Prepare and present quarterly earnings reports, investor presentations, and address shareholder inquiries.
- Drive corporate affairs of the Company.
Requirements
- Minimum a degree in accountancy or its equivalent with professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, MIA, CIMA, MICPA. Possess MBA will be an added advantage.
- At least 10 years of experience in financial management, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role, demonstrating your ability to guide teams and work with top executives.
- Experience in Bursa Stock Exchange reporting is a must.
- Proven track record of driving financial governance, compliance, and operational improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for financial details and strategic insights.
- Able to present complex financial information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Possess a high level of integrity and commitment to transparency in all financial dealings.
