What is the roles about?
- Running the boiler and the entire steam system in accordance with safe working practices.
- Keep the equipment and the boiler in good working order by performing routine maintenance.
- Routine check in the production plants for steam leakage and/or faulty steam equipment such as Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV), Safety Valves, Steam gauges, etc.
- Perform Boiler Water or Feedwater Analysis. Record the phosphate, sulfite, pH, and hardness readings to the “Boiler & Softener water analytical result” log sheet.
- Follow the chemical supplier’s advice when dosing the boiler’s necessary chemicals.
- Test the hardness of the water and perform regeneration of water softeners if needed. Record. Result in the “Boiler & Softener water analytical result” log sheet.
- Complete the boiler log sheet each shift; highlighting all the activities and abnormalities during the shift.
- Report any anomalies in the “Team Boiler FNB” group.
- Check that the pumps and main water supply are in functioning order. Call/contact Plant Utility Manager and highlight in the team “Water” group if there is any water interruption.
- Backwash all the sand filters for incoming water system once per shift and when the sand filter is not blocked.
- Perform proper handover and transferring control to the next shift in the correct manner.
- Take part in the boiler and steam header JKKP inspection.
- To complete any additional tasks that may from time to time be given to you by the company’s management.
- Responsive to concerns about food safety.
- To inform the Technical Manager or Food Safety Team Leader of any maintenance-related food safety issues.
Are you the one?
- Candidate mist possess at least SPM and above and Certificate of Boilerman Steam Grade 2. Preferably candidate with Grade 1 Certificate holder.
- Minimum at least two (2) to three (3) years experiences in packaged boiler operations. Preferably in Mechmar Boiler Gas Fired experience.
- Able to work in shift rotation system.
- Proficient in English and BM
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 & GMP.
- Self motivated and Independent.
