Job Summary
The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support, handling IT documentation, responding to help desk tickets, assisting with software implementation, and supporting daily IT operations. The role requires troubleshooting hardware and software issues, coordinating with users, traveling to different sites when required, and assisting the IT Manager with assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to IT support tickets promptly and professionally.
- Provide first-level support for hardware, software, network, printer, email, and system issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common IT problems; escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Follow up with users to ensure issues are resolved.
- Maintain IT documentation, asset records, software licenses, and support logs.
- Assist with software installation, configuration, testing, deployment, and user training.
- Support software rollouts, system upgrades, and report issues or user feedback.
- Travel to branches or sites to provide on-site IT support and equipment setup.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of IT equipment and systems.
- Assist with daily IT operations, asset management, system monitoring, and IT projects.
- Follow company IT policies, security procedures, and perform other assigned IT-related tasks.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Minimum SPM or equivalent
- Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Preferred)
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates may be considered, but prior experience in IT support or help desk support is an advantage.
