Key Responsibilities
Design Oversight
Take the lead in developing, reviewing, and securing client approval for electrical and instrumentation (E&I) designs, specifications, and technical drawings.
Project, Operations & Budget Management
Plan and manage project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and oversee budgeting, cost control, and expenditure monitoring.
Installation & Commissioning
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of E&I systems throughout all project phases.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all activities adhere to relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
Manage procurement activities by liaising with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
Implement quality control procedures and maintain comprehensive documentation for progress tracking, testing results, and regulatory compliance.
Client Relations & Sales Support
Support business development efforts by engaging with both new and existing clients, promoting E&I services, and identifying potential project opportunities.
Note: This role is based in Penang and will operate as an individual contributor.
Desired Skills and Experience
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent)
- 7–10 years of on-site E&I construction experience, including technical drawing and specification work (AutoCAD proficiency required)
- Solid understanding of EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning) project workflows
- Experience in sales or client engagement for construction-related projects
- Willingness to work extended hours when needed
- Own transport required
Preferred (Advantageous):
- Previous experience in the plant or industrial sector
