about the job
- E&I Engineering & Design: Lead the preparation and review of E&I deliverables including single line diagrams (SLDs), cause & effect matrices, control philosophy documents, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and instrument index lists.
- ICSS Integration: Specify, evaluate, and integrate Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) – including DCS, ESD, and F&G systems – with vendor packages and plant-wide control infrastructures.
- Process Package Support: Collaborate with process and mechanical teams to engineer modular skid packages (e.g., gas treatment, separation, fuel gas conditioning) to ensure seamless electrical and control interfaces.
- Vendor & Technical Management: Technical evaluation of vendor bids for instruments, control valves, ICSS hardware/software, and electrical equipment. Review and approve vendor drawings and documentation.
- Commissioning Support: Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), loop checking, and site commissioning activities for E&I systems.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all E&I designs comply with industry standards (IEC, ATEX/IECEx, API, ISA) and company/client safety requirements.
skills/requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 6-8 years of relevant E&I engineering experience, preferably within oil & gas, petrochemical, or EPCC modular process package environments.
- Mandatory Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety System) design, integration, and architecture (covering DCS, ESD, and F&G systems).
- Proficiency with hazardous area classifications, instrument sizing/selection, and safety instrumented systems (SIS/SIL).
- Excellent communication, project coordination, and problem-solving skills.
