Key Responsibilities
- Develop new product designs based on customer or internal requirements
- Perform 3D modeling and 2D drawings (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD)
- Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) analysis
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (production, quality, suppliers)
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation (DV/PV)
- Perform tolerance analysis and GD&T application
- Review and improve existing designs for cost reduction and performance
- Prepare technical documentation, BOM, and reports
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during development and production stages
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong fundamentals in:
- Mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Injection molding, stamping, machining (depending on industry)
- Knowledge of:
- GD&T and tolerance stack-up
- DFMEA / PFMEA
- Engineering standards (ISO, ASTM, IEC, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with:
- CAD software
- Prototype evaluation & testing
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 1–3 years (Junior) / 3–5+ years (Mid-level) in R&D or product development
- Experience in automotive / electronics / manufacturing is an advantage
