Pre-Delivery Inspection Coordinator

Position Description

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and deeply process-oriented PDI Coordinator to join our growing Pre-Delivery Inspection Team. In the PDI Coordinator role, you will manage critical domestic and international shipments, handle vehicle emergency to support Tesla’s vehicle delivery and Just in Time (JIT) suppliers. You will gain invaluable experience about Tesla’s supply chain and understand our processes from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipping and receiving functions at factories and external yards.
  • Collect vehicle condition feedbacks and send communications/improvements to local team and factory side.
  • Schedule pick-ups with vendors and arrange vehicle towing timeline for service centers.
  • Coordinate the most cost-effective means to ship freight within expected requirement’s.
  • Review and provide PDI standard to local team from cost and delivery perspectives.
  • Build and grow relationships with internal customers and vendors, including KPI managements.
  • Manage and review all PDI and logistic costs quarterly.
  • Coordinate with the Tesla Delivery team with forecasted targets accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of experience in an operations and logistics role at a minimum.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency in English, especially reading and writing.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Be positive, proactive and with excellent stress resistance,
  • Experience with international shipping (Commercial Invoices, AES filing) will be a plus.
  • Ability to work well with others and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of transportation limitations, regulations and the knowledge of vehicle damage repair.
  • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, weekends, and holidays according to activity volume.
