Senior IT Executive
Purpose of Role
The Senior IT Executive is responsible for ensuring the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of the school’s IT infrastructure, systems, and user support services. The role oversees daily IT operations, provides advanced technical support, maintains network and system performance, and ensures technology services effectively support teaching, learning, and administrative functions across the school.

Senior IT Executive – Key Responsibilities
- Develop IT framework / strategy, standards, policies and procedures aligned with Organization’s direction in driving operational excellence.
- Lead IT team to manage the end-to-end application management life cycle, including planning, development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading and support of organizational IT systems. This will include operating systems, servers, PCs, network, software applications, mobile apps and peripherals
- Enhance users’ experience through improved service management to users.
- Regular interlocks with executives, senior management and system users.
- IT staff management covering hiring, performance evaluation, training, coaching, disciplinary procedures and dismissal.
- Develop and implement relevant IT SOP, with written protocols and guidelines in place for IT team and end-users
- Drive negotiation with IT vendors to secure best deals, and responsible for engaging IT consultants and establishing service agreements.
- Responsible for building and maintaining IT budget for each project, and managing overall financial activities in IT department, including IT purchases and ongoing budget.
- Keeping up to date with the latest developments in IT and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement with the school’s IT infrastructure.
- Oversee IT related projects, network infrastructure and systems to ensure optimal performance is achieved.
- Escalation of issues/problems to keep Top Management informed, advice and provide recommendation to Top Management as and when neede
- Any other responsibility that may be assigned by the superior from time to time when the need arises.

Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience and Skills:
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant IT support and infrastructure experience, preferably in a school or similar
environment.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, servers, hardware, and end-user support.
• Experience managing Windows/Microsoft environments (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft 365).
• Familiarity with network security, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and data protection practices.
• Experience with IT asset management, system documentation, and vendor coordination.
• Relevant professional certifications are an advantage (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, Cisco).
• Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple IT issues in a fast-paced environment.
