About the role
As an Equipment Purchaser and Planner at ALL HAPPY SDN. BHD., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility in Butterworth, Penang. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring essential equipment and materials, as well as coordinating the planning and scheduling of their delivery. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic manufacturing company.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage the procurement of all equipment, machinery, and spare parts required for the manufacturing process
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure reliable and timely supply of materials
- Collaborate with the production team to plan and schedule the delivery of equipment and materials
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain optimal stock levels
- Analyse and report on procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and procedures
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers
- Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Proficient in the use of procurement software and data analysis tools
- A team player with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
