Lead, Public Relations and Event

Overview

The Lead, Public Relations & Events will champion SEDANIA Group-wide public relations and external engagement strategy across its diverse ecosystem, spanning sustainable consumer brands (Offspring, Tanamera), Islamic fintech, and other innovation-driven ventures.

Key Responsibilities

Public Relations & External Communications

  • Develop and execute SEDANIA’s PR strategy aligned to Group priorities, business objectives, and brand positioning.
  • Lead media relations efforts including managing press releases, media statements, interviews, editorial pitches, and crisis communications.
  •  Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, and editors.
  • Strengthen SEDANIA’s profile through consistent storytelling across sustainability, consumer, fintech, and innovation narratives.
  • Coordinate communications for financial announcements, corporate updates, and investor-led releases.

Thought Leadership

  • Craft compelling narratives that elevate SEDANIA’s leaders as industry voices in consumer wellbeing, Islamic fintech, and technology.
  • Develop speaking points, keynote scripts, and leadership commentaries.
  • Identify platforms, partnerships, and opportunities for visibility including forums, panels, conferences, awards, and industry events.

Events Management

  • Lead the planning and execution of Group-wide corporate events, media briefings, launches, activations, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Oversee event strategy, budget, vendor management, programme flow, and logistics.
  • Ensure every event reinforces SEDANIA’s brand image, narrative, and relationship-building objectives.

Issues Management & Reputational Risk

  • Monitor media and industry landscape to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Provide counsel on sensitive communications and crisis situations, ensuring calm, timely, and strategic responses.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must have a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in public relations, corporate communications, brand communications, or stakeholder engagement, ideally gained in an agency environment
  • Proven track record managing PR strategies, media relations, high-level stakeholders, and end-to-end events.
  • Exceptional writing, messaging, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of media dynamics, digital communications, and reputation management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-business environment.
  • Strategic thinker with high emotional intelligence, professionalism, and relationship-building capability.
