Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor blow moulding machines used to produce Jerry Can Container including mold changes, parameter settings, and startup procedures.
- Perform regular quality checks on products to ensure conformance to dimensional and visual standards.
- Monitor raw material levels (e.g. resin) and load hoppers as needed.
- Adjust machine settings to correct minor defects or process variations.
- Report any mechanical issues or product defects to maintenance and quality departments promptly.
- Clean and maintain machines and work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
- Record production data including output, scrap, downtime, and material usage.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel during preventive maintenance or machine repairs.
- Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma or equivalent required.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia or English
- Possess at least 1–3 years of experience operating blow moulding machines, preferably in industrial packaging or Jerry Can container manufacturing.
- Experience with extrusion blow molding and HDPE materials is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Understanding of blow moulding processes and machine components.
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications, production orders, and quality requirements.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials (up to 25kg).
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and machine interface systems.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to heat, noise, and machinery.
- Shift work, including nights and weekends, may be required.
- Use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.
