Overview
We are seeking a hands-on IT Infrastructure Engineer with a strong foundation in both network and server technologies. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure systems, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability across on-premises and remote environments.
Responsibilities:
- Understand, select, install, configure, and troubleshoot network and security hardware/software: switches, routers, SD‑WAN, firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos), APs, IAM, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Handle system administration tasks including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and client support (on-site and remote)
- Create network architecture designs and detailed drawings; manage specification deliverables
- Adapt to new technologies such as H3C, Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, etc.
- Configure access switches, wireless networks, ensure Fortinet firewall & IPsec VPN setup, and manage switch migrations and preventive maintenance.
- Support pre‑sales/demonstrations (proof-of-concept) for network products.
- Provide technical support for server hardware and systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Linux environments, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Manage backups, data recovery, RAID arrays, SAN/NAS storage systems.
- Monitor server performance, update firmware, troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Assist in capacity planning, documentation, and system design reviews.
- Coordinate with vendors for parts, support, and maintenance contracts.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunication or equivalent.
- 1–5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or technical field support, preferably with real hardware exposure.
- Networking certifications such as CCNA or CCNP preferred.
- Proficient with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba equipment — installation, troubleshooting, firmware management.
- Experience with Active Directory, virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper‑V), storage management and Linux administration.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery tools (e.g. Veeam, Backup Exec).
- Storage communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset, able to support clients in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of Cloud Technology such as Microsoft Azure & AWS) will be a plus.
