Core Responsibilities:
- Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on aircraft engine components to determine material flaws and discontinuities.
- Review test orders to determine type of test required, test procedures, and part acceptability criteria.
- Prepare parts for testing by applying proper agents such as cleaners, swab etch, penetrants and developers.
- Perform daily checks on test equipment calibration.
- Interpret results of various tests performed against the acceptance criteria specified in operations manual or other approved data.
- Perform part mark, benching and cold work to support production.
- Carry out chemical handling and etching line duties.
- Participate in team audits and process reports for corrective actions.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area such as 6S, sort, label, and store tooling/equipment.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations during course of duties.
Qualifications:
- 3 – 7 years of experience in Aerospace industry.
- Possess NAS 410/ EN 4179 Level 2 certification on FPI.
- Strong attention to details.
- Ability to multitask.
- Good communications skills.
- Multi-skilled candidates will have an added advantage.
- Able to perform rotating shift.
- Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical)
