FPI Inspector

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on aircraft engine components to determine material flaws and discontinuities.
  • Review test orders to determine type of test required, test procedures, and part acceptability criteria.
  • Prepare parts for testing by applying proper agents such as cleaners, swab etch, penetrants and developers.
  • Perform daily checks on test equipment calibration.
  • Interpret results of various tests performed against the acceptance criteria specified in operations manual or other approved data.
  • Perform part mark, benching and cold work to support production.
  • Carry out chemical handling and etching line duties.
  • Participate in team audits and process reports for corrective actions.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area such as 6S, sort, label, and store tooling/equipment.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations during course of duties.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 7 years of experience in Aerospace industry.
  • Possess NAS 410/ EN 4179 Level 2 certification on FPI.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Multi-skilled candidates will have an added advantage.
  • Able to perform rotating shift.
  • Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical)
