Custom-built as facility to liquefy, produce, store and offload Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), the PETRONAS Floating LNG (PFLNG) is a facility that allows for the processing of LNG to be done offshore hundreds of kilometres away from land.
Its versatility enables us to unlock remote and stranded fields that were previously uneconomical to explore, making it possible for us to monetise the potential of stranded fields far out at sea.
It represents a feat of engineering for PETRONAS, comprising several square kilometres of production, processing and offloading facilities fit-to-purpose onto a concept 300-metre long structure. It is a mega-structure that has changed the landscape of LNG production.
