Ar Rahnu Officer – Kangar Branch


Processing Ar Rahnu Financing application and its related operational activities including but not limited to performing gold evaluation process, creating, and processing of Ar Rahnu financing applications. At the same time, assist Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) to supervise, direct and control other operational matters at branches, assist customers about the Bank’s product and services in accordance with Bank’s policy, standards and procedures and other requirements.

  • Processing of Ar Rahnu financing application.
  • Verify the authenticity/genuineness of gold item(s).
  • Approve the gold item(s) as collateral and completed transactions made.
  • Ensure on the accuracy of all transactions data and meets with internal and regulatory requirement.
  • Support Account Opening i.e. Current, Saving, Investment, Tabung Haji (TH) and SSPN Account, EPF, etc.
  • Attend to customers enquiry about the Bank’s products and services.
  • Support crowd management by migrating of over the counter transactions (OTC) by customers to other alternative channels such as Self Service Terminals (SST), Internet Banking (IB), etc.
  • Ensure compliance to all internal manual/policies/guidelines, external regulatory requirements and memos issued by the Bank.
  • Any other duties/assignment as and when directed/assigned by the superior as per business requirement from time to time.


  • Qualification – Diploma/Bachelor Degree’s holder from recognised higher learning institution.
  • Acquired certificate and/or education background in “Seni Kraf (Logam)” or similar background will be an added advantage.
  • Possess more than 3 years working experience as Valuer in Ar Rahnu business  or Gold Industry i.e., gold & jewelry designer / crafter with any jewelry manufacturer/ shop / retailer.
  • Possess technical skill in performing gold evaluation i.e.,  in terms of variations & suitability in evaluation methods and tools.
  • Possess good communicate skill and able to work well with others.
  • Proficiently in Microsoft Words & Microsoft Excel.
  • Pleasant and presentable personality.
