Job Description
PROSECUTION UNIT
- Receive and analyse Investigation Papers recommended for prosecution.
- Inspect all related documents for the case for purpose of registering to court.
- Review Investigation Papers (IP) according to evidence collected and provide suggestions for further actions.
- Ensure all preparation of consent to prosecute and charge sheets related to case registered.
- Prepare for trials, facts of the case, evidence and other related documents before the trial / mention date.
- Ensure all related documents and evidence are compiled and filed properly and carried to the court on the trial / mention date.
- Monitor and ensure updates of information in respective case files upon completion of case and review case reports for further action.
- Ensure proposal of appeal are made in a timely manner.
- Ensure timely registration or institution of prosecution cases in subordinate courts and appeals for high courts.
- Formulate prosecution strategies and conduct trials for non-compliance & serious corporate governance cases in court.
- Monitor and manage planning and organising of technical aspects of complex prosecution cases to successful conclusion.
- Execute any ad-hoc duties received from time to time.
- Comply with all of SSM’s policies and SOPs.
LITIGATION UNIT
- Ensure timely recepient and analysis of civil litigation cases on behalf of SSM are carried out.
- Review compilation and research performed on escalated cases as well as reports submitted on cases.
- Review and monitor the analysis of Court decisions and preparation of file appeals where appropriate.
- Plan and organise the technical aspects of litigation cases towards successful conclusion.
- Achieve operational objectives and ensure work plans, tasks and assignments delegated are carried out appropriately.
- Comply with all of SSM’s policies and SOPs.
