Marketing Executive – MARKERTING EXECUTIVE – KUALA LUMPUR
Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Junior Marketing Executive to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for recent graduates or individuals at the beginning of their marketing career who are keen to learn, grow, and contribute fresh ideas. As a Marketing Executive, you will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of marketing, recruitment and develop a solid foundation in this exciting field. An important aspect of this role involves communication with certain clients and stakeholders, for which proficiency in Mandarin & Cantonese are required.
Location: Hybrid Work Arrangement (must reside in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor)
Employment Type:
- This is a full-time position under direct company payroll.
- We are not considering part-time, contract, freelance candidates, or recruitment agency submissions for this role.
Key Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Malaysian nationality is essential.
- Proficiency in Mandarin & Cantonese due to the nature of the job.
- At least 1 year of experience in marketing is a plus.
- Good presentation, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.
- Adept at preparing attractive, meaningful PowerPoint presentations, particularly for meetings with potential stakeholders, as this skill is essential for effectively communicating and pitching ideas.
- Active users on major social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Xiaohongshu (XHS), with experience in creating and sharing both video and text content.
- Passion for achieving results, closing deals, resilience, and commercial insight.
- Open to traveling within Malaysia as required.
- Enthusiastic about meeting new people and demonstrate an eagerness to learn, as this role requires an open-minded approach.
Responsibilities:
This role is divided into two key areas: 50% focused on recruitment and 50% on marketing.
Recruitment (50%):
- Oversee the recruitment process for our internal and related companies, involving sourcing, screening, and qualifying candidates, briefing and preparing them for interviews, and occasionally negotiating remuneration packages to meet candidate expectations in a timely manner.
- Engage in proactive talent sourcing through cold calling potential candidates.
- Efficiently manage recruitment operations using the Ashby Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Note: Once our internal vacancies for the year are filled, you will shift entirely to focus on marketing activities.
Marketing (50%):
- Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions to establish a talent pipeline and connect with top graduates.
- Organize and oversee the ModeFair Academic Coding Competition (which we plan to launch this year and explore partnership with at least 1 local university).
- Develop our tech community, primarily targeting Software Engineers and Technology Principals for collaborations/sponsors.
- Manage TikTok/Instagram/XHS channels, video interviews and other public-facing activities.
- Actively participate in career fairs and related events to promote our ModeFair brand and opportunities.
- Design and implement internship programs, offering valuable experiences for interns and fostering a pipeline of future talent for our company.
