Job Description:
Inventory and Supply Chain Management
- Manage direct and indirect material inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock, collaborating with buyers for timely order placement.
- Monitor and control indirect material inventories to maintain defined stock levels.
- Coordinate with Production Planning and Sales to develop accurate material forecasts and track production usage.
- Prepare and communicate material forecasts to suppliers.
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks to minimize impacts on the production schedule.
- Address material shortages by developing and implementing effective solutions.
- Minimize obsolete stock and ensure inventory liability is kept at a minimum.
- Alert relevant departments or personnel about expiring materials.
Strategic Support and Process Improvement
- Support and initiate cost-saving activities within purchasing operations.
- Assist the Purchasing manager by providing critical material positioning status for top management review.
- Develop and maintain compliance with departmental goals.
- Provide support for other general purchasing activities as required.
