Job Description:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all lifting operations to ensure they are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved lifting plans and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements, company safety procedures, client specifications, and approved risk assessments for all lifting activities.
- Inspect and verify cranes, lifting appliances, lifting gears, and accessories to ensure they are certified, fit for use, and suitable for the intended lifting operation.
- Supervise and coordinate Crane Operators, Riggers, and Signalmen, ensuring only competent and authorized personnel are involved in lifting operations.
- Conduct pre-lift briefings (toolbox talks), monitor lifting activities on site, identify hazards, and stop any unsafe lifting operations immediately.
- Maintain lifting documentation, including lift plans, permits, inspection records, checklists, and incident reports, ensuring all records are complete and up to date.
- Investigate lifting-related incidents and near misses, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and continuously promote safe lifting practices and operational excellence on site.
