Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of air conditioning, ventilation, and other mechanical systems. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering top-quality service to ensure all systems function effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Installation, configuring, maintaining, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) systems, as well as water-cooling systems and related mechanical equipment with safety and performance standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and diagnose system faults, and carry out necessary repairs to restore optimal functionality.
- Perform regular inspections of systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustments and repairs.
- Coordinate with clients to schedule service calls, provide clear technical explanations, and offer recommendations for system upgrades or improvements.
- Prepare detailed service reports after each job, outlining issues identified, work performed, and any further actions required and also preparing quotation.
- Assist in commissioning and testing newly installed systems to ensure compliance with operational specifications.
- Work closely with other engineering and technical teams to provide comprehensive service and support.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Provide on-call support for emergency service requests outside of regular working hours as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and innovations in ACMV systems and ensure all work follows industry best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Possess diploma, vocational training, or technical certification in ACMV systems, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing and maintaining ACMV systems, chillers, heat pumps, or related mechanical equipment and MEP industry.
- Strong knowledge of ACMV principles, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to be on-call for emergency repairs outside regular working hours.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and operate machinery as required.

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with electrical systems and control circuits used in ACMV and refrigeration systems.
- Experience with modern diagnostic and testing equipment.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and green building practices.
