What you’ll be doing:
- Drive Strategic Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies to enhance our tax position.
- Lead Tax Compliance Efforts: Oversee tax computations, ensure accurate filings, and address tax inquiries.
- Manage Indirect Tax Returns: Prepare and submit timely and accurate returns for sales tax, VAT, excise duties, and more.
- Mitigate Tax Risks: Engage in risk management and lead tax-focused projects.
- Lead and Mentor: Guide team members on key projects, fostering collaboration and growth.
- Oversee International Tax Operations: Handle tax implications for cross-border transactions.
- Expand Your Horizons: Travel and support regional branches as needed, gaining global experience.
You’re the one we’re looking for if:
- You hold qualifications like MIT, MIA, MICPA, ACCA, or equivalent, or a Degree/Master’s in Accounting/Finance.
- You bring at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in the field.
- You have a solid understanding of tax rules, regulations, and practices.
- Cross-Border Savvy: Experience with cross-border transactions and indirect tax is a strong plus.
- Skilled Communicator: You excel in interpersonal and communication skills, making collaboration seamless.
- Residency Requirement: Malaysian citizens or individuals with relevant residency status are encouraged to apply.
