Role: Senior Analyst – Tools

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure all monitoring system under purview is up and running optimal.
Create, amend and remove monitoring definitions based on technology and infrastructure needs.
Execute implementation of performance monitoring related initiatives and projects for IT systems and services to meet the needs of the business applications. These initiatives cover services deployed for Malaysia and regional sites.
Assist in research and development of monitoring solutions & tools to identify technologies related to performance management that would bring value to the organization.
Execute implementation of performance related initiatives and measures of the IT services to ensure IT services are available as required that meets the needs of the business
Liaison with service owners on embracing adoption of new and emerging performance monitoring technologies and products, services, methods and techniques
Execute entire process of monitoring configuration
Execute monitoring, analysis and continuous fine tuning of performance metrics upon request from service owner
Execute support and maintenance of performance monitoring to cater changes in monitoring configuration Produce reports and updates of project status
Coordinate issues that requires escalation with external/internal parties
Follow up on actions to resolve issues identified

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 6 – 8 years experiences in Windows/LINUX/Database server in Virtualized environment and familiarity with Network equipment such as Router, Switch, Load Balancer & Appliance.
Programming skills (Perl, Python, BASH, SHELL) Configuration Management tools, i.e Ansible, Chef
Understanding and experience in Network such as DNS, DHCP, SNMP, IPTABLES, FIREWALL and TCPIP
