IT Executive – Security Analyst (Application and IT Infrastructure)

Cybersecurity Monitoring & Threat Detection:
- Monitor application and IT infrastructure security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), and security information and event.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests on applications, networks, and systems.
Application Security:
- Collaborate with application developers and architects to ensure secure design, development, and deployment of applications.
- Implement and enforce security policies and practices for applications, ensuring they adhere to industry standards such as ISO:27001.
- Ensure that security requirements are embedded in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
IT Infrastructure Security:
- Maintain and enhance the security of network devices, servers, endpoints, and cloud infrastructure.
- Implement and manage security controls such as firewalls, encryption, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Evaluate and enhance access control systems and identity management tools.
- Ensure that critical infrastructure is continuously monitored and updated with the latest security patches and configurations.
Incident Response & Reporting:
- Lead and manage the incident response process, including preparing and executing incident response plans, coordinating with key stakeholders, and ensuring proper containment, eradication, and recovery from incidents.
- Document security incidents, conduct post-incident reviews, and provide reports and recommendations to leadership.
Compliance & Audit Fulfilment:
- Ensure the organization complies with all security-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and industry regulations.
- Support the fulfilment of audit requirements, including evidence collection, security controls verification, and tracking remediation efforts.
- Coordinate internal and external security audits, ensuring all relevant documentation and data are readily available for review.
Job Requirement:
- Advance Diploma/ bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in application security and IT infrastructure security.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management platforms, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Proficiency in conducting penetration tests, secure code reviews, and vulnerability assessments on applications and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of network security, cloud security (Azure, etc.), encryption technologies, and identity/access management.
- Candidate must be willing to work in /relocate to Sarikei – Sarawak.
