Job Description
In MAJUHOME Concept, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) oversees the overall company operational functions. The departments and roles that report to the COO are:
- Store Operations: This department manages the day-to-day operations of the retail stores, including staffing, training, scheduling, and store maintenance. Store managers and regional managers report to the COO
- Supply Chain and Logistics: The COO oversees supply chain management, including inventory control, warehousing, distribution, and logistics. This department ensures that products are efficiently and cost-effectively delivered to stores or customers.
- Merchandising: Not directly reporting to the COO but the COO need to collaborate with merchandising department to ensure that the supply chain and store operations are aligned with merchandising strategies.
- Information Technology (IT): The IT department fall under the COO’s supervision. IT is crucial for managing inventory systems, point-of-sale systems, e-commerce platforms, and other technology-related aspects of retail operations.
- Human Resources (HR): The HR department work closely with the COO for recruiting, training, employee benefits, and labor relations within the retail organization.
- Real Estate and Property Management: The COO oversee real estate and property management, including lease negotiations, property maintenance, and store location strategies.
- Customer Service and Experience: Departments responsible for customer service, satisfaction, and experience enhancement efforts reports to the COO. This includes roles related to customer service management, loyalty programs, and feedback analysis.
- Quality Control and Compliance: Ensuring that products and services meet quality standards and that the company complies is ISO QMS 9001 standards
- Safety and Security: To oversees safety and security measures within the retail organization, including loss prevention, asset protection, and employee safety programs.
- Operational Efficiency: The COO is responsible for improving operational efficiency and cost management across various departments.
The COO’s role is to ensure that all company operational functions work together cohesively to support the company’s overall goals and strategies, with a focus on efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Requirement
1. Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree/master’s degree in business administration, management, finance, or a related field
2. Extensive Retail Experience:
- Retail Industry Background: A strong foundation in the retail sector is essential. Candidates should have a deep understanding of retail operations, supply chain management, and customer dynamics.
3. Leadership and Management Skills:
- Leadership Experience: Proven leadership skills are crucial. Successful candidates should have experience managing large teams, developing talent, and creating a positive organizational culture.
- Strategic Thinking: You must be able to contribute to the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan and business objectives.
4. Operations Expertise:
- Supply Chain and Logistics: Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics is essential.
- Store Operations: Familiarity with store operations, including staffing, merchandising, and customer service, is crucial.
5. Financial Acumen:
- Financial Management: COO is responsible for budgeting, cost control, and financial performance. An understanding of financial metrics and reporting is essential.
