Group Accountant

  • Responsible for preparation of monthly group accounts and ensure the accounts are prepared accurately and timely for reporting to top management and stakeholders.
  • To prepare quarterly Group report for Bursa announcement.
  • To review the Monthly Management Account report and Executive Management Committee (“EMC”)’s monthly report, annual and semi-annual financial budget of subsidiaries, joint venture and associate companies.
  • In charge of preparation of annual audited Group financial statements and Annual Report to comply with the latest MFRS standards and Bursa listing requirement.
  • Assist in the coordination of the audit exercise for the Group, both internal and external audit.
  • To perform variance analysis for financial performance on Group basis.
  • To prepare annual consolidated Group budgets, forecast and planning by liaising with the relevant business units and departments.
  • To review and/or prepare subsidiaries’ tax computation and provision on deferred taxation.
  • To assist in the corporate exercise of the Group, which include but not limited to liaise with company secretary, investment banker, lawyer, reporting accountant and others.
  • To assist in the Group’s corporate tax planning (both direct and indirect taxes).
  • To assist in the Group’s treasury management, e.g. dealing with corporate bankers.
  • To assist in the coordination with the Risk Management Committee and Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance (“ESG”) Committee.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Group Financial Controller and/or top management.JobRequirements:
    • Candidate must have a Degree in Accounting or Finance and professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CIMA or ACCA.
    • Member of MIA is preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years working experience in audit firm, preferable in Big 4 accounting firms.
    • Leadership and organisational skills.
    • Experience in group consolidation.
    • Familiar with Bursa Listing Requirements will be an added advantage.
    • Self-motivated with high level of integrity, work responsibility & accountability.
    • Acute attention to detail, highly organized, confident, analytical, proactive and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, negotiation and reporting skills
    • Willing to travel.
