Position Overview
The Indoor Sales Manager plays a critical role in supporting the sales process internally by preparing quotations, managing Requests for Quotation (RFQs), developing and maintaining price lists, corresponding with customers and sales teams, and ensuring prompt and accurate document delivery. This role acts as the key liaison between internal departments and external customers to ensure a seamless sales experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quotation Management
- Prepare accurate and timely sales quotations based on customer specifications, technical requirements, and pricing strategies.
- Ensure all quotations comply with company pricing policies and technical standards.
- Customize quotations for different customer segments (industrial, construction, OEMs, distributors, etc.).
2. RFQ (Request for Quotation) Handling
- Receive, log, and manage all incoming RFQs from sales personnel, customers, and distributors.
- Liaise with engineering, production, and finance departments to gather necessary technical and costing information for RFQ preparation.
- Prioritize RFQs based on urgency, customer importance, and strategic objectives.
3. Email Communication and Customer Response
- Promptly acknowledge and reply to customer and internal emails regarding quotations, product inquiries, and order statuses.
- Provide professional and courteous responses to ensure a high standard of customer service.
- Follow up on submitted quotations and RFQs to support sales closure.
4. Price List Development & Maintenance
- Develop and update standard price lists for cables, accessories, and related products.
- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and Production teams to reflect cost changes, raw material fluctuations (e.g., copper, aluminium prices), and market adjustments in price lists.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all pricing documents.
5. Quotation Dispatch
- Ensure completed quotations are sent to the appropriate sales representative or directly to the customer within agreed timelines.
- Track and archive all sent quotations for future reference and audit purposes.
