Job Description:
- Conduct appropriate site induction training for company and subcontractor personnel.
- Prepare Project Monthly HSE Report and Project HSE Program.
- Provide assistance to supervision and workers in risk identification and job hazard analysis.
- Ensure all safety findings are coordinated with the relevant department for improvements and rectification.
- Facilitate the site Safety Committee meetings (and agenda), toolbox meeting topics, and involvement of Safety and Health Representatives.
- Serve as Secretary to the Safety & Health Committee.
- Prepare and maintain the company’s HSE documentation.
- Provide advice and support to management for the implementation and auditing of Health, Safety, and Environment practices.
- Identify the need for compliance and competency of safety training and coordinate sessions/courses for site personnel.
- Monitor compliance with the requirements detailed in the Safety & Health Program.
- Monitor adherence to specified procedures, safe work standards, and statutory requirements.
- Implement and communicate compliance requirements for the company’s Safety Procedures and work standards/practices.
- Advise on all project-related Health, Safety, Security, and Environment issues.
- Maintain safety education and awareness levels that support effective safety management.
- Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g., DOSH, DOE, local authorities) on Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment matters.
- Lead accident investigations for any incidents occurring on-site and prepare accident reports with recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain statistics on accidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning, and occupational diseases occurring in the workplace.
- Inspect the workplace to determine if any machinery, plant, equipment, materials, tools, or processes pose a risk of injury to workers.
- Assist in the organization and implementation of workplace safety and health programs as per Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996.
- Assist the Safety and Health Committee in conducting workplace inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of measures taken to ensure compliance with the Act and its regulations.
- Support any officer in executing their duties under the Act or its regulations.
- Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning, or diseases.
- Perform any other tasks or functions related to Health, Safety, and Environment, or as assigned by management.

Knowledge & Experience:
- Four (4) years of experience as a Safety Officer / Executive or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of legislations and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety
- Willing to work in Genting Highlands and travel to Cameron Highlands for site visit
- Working Hours : Monday-Friday, Alternate Sunday : 8.30am-6.00pm
