About the role
Ye Chiu Non-Ferrous Metal (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Material Management Officer to join our team in Johor. This full-time role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our inventory and procurement operations, contributing directly to the overall success of our manufacturing and logistics functions.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, continuously monitoring stock levels and identifying opportunities for optimisation
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to forecast demand, plan and execute procurement activities
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components to support production
- Implement and maintain effective warehouse management practices, including stock rotation, storage and distribution
- Analyse procurement data and provide insights to drive continuous improvement in inventory control and supplier performance
- Support the development and enhancement of procurement policies, procedures and systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align material management with broader production and distribution plans
What we’re looking for
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with suppliers, internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office suite, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles and best practices
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
