Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Support Officer to manage and support the IT infrastructure across companies under the IQIP group globally. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless IT operations, overseeing day-to-day support activities, and maintaining the security, performance, and reliability of all IT systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to manage hardware, software and network systems by providing technical support, and implementing technology solutions in ensuring a smooth operation and continuous improvement of the organization IT infrastructure. This position will require candidate to be working with colleagues and external service providers across the world while maintaining consistent & effective communication across offices.
Responsibility:
- Manage and support the organization’s Microsoft Office 365 services, ensuring optimal usage and performance.
- Provide technical assistance to employees on IT-related issues, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems, and conduct regular maintenance and updates for all IT systems to ensure smooth business operation.
- Track and manage hardware subscriptions, software licenses, and ensure timely renewal of all IT-related services and software.
- Upgrading, installing and configuring new or existing hardware & software.
- Troubleshooting on network equipment, repair and maintain computer hardware.
- Proper filing and documentation, housekeeping of IT Asset and prepare user guide if needed.
- Keep detailed and up-to-date network documentation, including system diagrams, configurations, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance logs.
- Maintain and optimize servers, network devices (including routers, switches, firewalls), as well as other IT infrastructure such as VMware, VOIP/PABX, CCTV, and wireless access points.
- Standby for any IT support & issues that need urgent attention.
Qualification:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related field.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in end-user desktop, networking, server, hardware and software support.
- Proficient in managing and supporting Microsoft products such as Window O/S, Windows Server, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly resolve complex technical issues. Ability to troubleshoot network, diagnosing hardware/software faults and solving technical problems together with external service providers.
- Coding experience is a plus and knowledge in programming languages and building scripts will be an added advantage.
- Able to work with external parties, a different cultures and remotely.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Have a strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skill and pleasant personality.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
