Main responsibilities:
To check and review design works by consultants/implementing agents for the approved projects under PAAB.
Tasks:
1. Check and review pipeline design by consultants/implementing agents.
2. Check and review civil & structural design by consultants/implementing agents/specialists, if required.
3. Provide technical support related to engineering matters of the project, such as project evaluation, detailed study, detailed design and tender stage.
4. Ensure that design works by consultants/implementing agents meet appropriate standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Review all technical documents submitted by the consultants/implementing agents, including technical reports, specifications, design drawings, tender documents and other documents related to the project from the design stage to the tender stage.
6. Assist in project coordination.
7. Assist in providing input to other departments, divisions and companies for works related to engineering design, if required.
8. Assist in developing any relevant technical documents, if required.
9. Assist in reviewing performance assessments for consultants from the design stage to the tender stage.
10. Attend and prepare meetings.
11. Assist in preparing reports and documentation for all projects assigned from the design stage to the tender stage.
12. Perform other tasks as instructed from time to time by Management and/or immediate Superior.
Requirements:
• Recognized Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent;
• At least 5 years’ experience in waterworks or similar nature.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint;
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia is required;
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills are essential;
• The candidate should be creative and energetic;
• Being self-motivated, analytical, resourceful and having strong integrity are important qualities; and
• A good working attitude and willingness to travel are expected.
