Executive, Brand Communications – CYBERJAYA, SELANGOR
Job Summary
Supports the departmental role in ensuring effective brand communications and recognition by the general public of all of MCMC’s programs. Additionally, in promoting/advocating MCMC’s programs and initiatives to target audiences.

Job Responsibilities
Brand and Reputation Building
- Supporting the department in its objective to enable the building of a reputable MCMC brand as regulator.
- Provision of support to the Head of Division and Head of Department to produce communications collaterals, including, but not limited to, videos, GIFs, print and social media collaterals.
- Preparation of presentation materials for the use of internal and external parties including the various ministries and agencies.
- Creative management for big ticket items such as JENDELA and other flagship initiatives.
- Effective production and implementation of creative communication strategies as required by the department and the Commission.
Content Marketing
- Project management in the research of reliable data as and when required for use in the production of infographic and/or informational materials available for public.
- Provide support and research into the subject matter to align key messages and target areas/audience.
- Liaise with relevant division/department on their programs and activities to ensure informational materials developed are relevant.
- Support the integration with appointed third parties to develop informational materials and to ensure quality, relevance, and data accuracy.
- Verify the validity of the information of public information materials.
- Ensure initiatives do not contravene any legal infringements on public policies and law. e.g., the proposed use of terminology and terms which do not aim to mislead or project inaccuracy(s).
Creative Content Production
- Provision and development of creative visuals in alignment with the concepts and strategies of the campaign/program/initiative.
- Proposed approaches on how to enhance advocacy programs and initiatives to the public.
- Assist with the development of strategies in executing advocacy programs to achieve maximum impact and drive brand amplification.
- Develop event concepts to suit brand identity and target audience.
- ‘Spot-on’ visual to best communicate the campaign/program/initiatives key messaging to the target audience.
Brand Policing of the Brand
- Monitor brand assets and police the proper usage of the brand.
- Supports in ensuring consistent brand exposure.
- Effective brand policing and management of brand assets to ensure brand consistency across all communication collaterals.

Qualification & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree of any relevant discipline from a reputable university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
- At least 2 years working experience in similar field of creative/graphic design.
- Experience in communications or marketing/media would be an advantage.
- Working experience in the telecommunications industry or within the advertising/communications consultancy industry would be an advantage.
- Experience copywriting in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Technical Competencies/Skills
- Intermediate capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite of programs which include Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Intermediate capabilities in Adobe CC especially on Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe In Design for developing concepts, graphics and layout such as infographics, collaterals etc (After Effects is a bonus)
- Working with user departments’ requests and managing their expectations within the dateline
- Mastery of industry-standard software to create logos, design reports and complete other projects
- The ability to clearly communicate the reasoning behind design choices
- A compelling portfolio with projects showcasing skills that are relevant to your business’s visual content goals
- Intermediate translation skills from BM/English
- Prior experience in communication agencies preferred
