Product Administrator – MYR 2,500 – MYR 3,000

Purpose of position

To maintain product data in our resource planning system as a regional company, ensuring it reflects the status of our product options. To provide administrative support to the Product Management team for the daily operational function of the department. To develop a knowledge and understanding Sektor’s system, ensuring a ‘continuous improvement’ philosophy is adopted.

Key responsibilities

•      Working with Product Managers, manage and update the resource planning system, to ensure the product data and information is current and accurate.

•      Working with Product Managers, set up all new product ranges in the system to support the New Product Introduction process, including website updates 

•      Working with Product Manager, manage and remove obsolete products/options in the system where necessary

•      Support the Product Managers with various reports as required by vendors

•      Support the Product Managers with various reports as required by GM, including management reporting (monthly) and board reporting (quarterly) where necessary

•      React promptly to all system updates & maintenance requests from the Product Managers including website updates

•      Ensure all new data entered into the resource planning system is accurate and consistent in its format

•      Work with all functional departments for continuous process improvement

•      Complete all works necessary to support price increases within PDM

•      Support the Product Managers for other daily administrative functions

Person Specification

•      Good written and verbal communication skills

•      Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook

•      Strong numeracy skills

•      Eye for details and consistency

•      Inquisitive, thinks logically and conceptually

•      Proactive and self-motivated with excellent organisational skills’

•      Ability to work under pressure, multitask and problem solving with strong analytical skills

•      Uses initiative when prioritising workload

•      Ability to work in fast-paced environments

•      Great team player who can work with a diverse team


•      Previous experience in either system data maintenance or using an ERP system is an advantage

•      Previous experience working within distribution or IT industry is an advantage
